SOD showed up with the Raynor longboard. It’s beautiful. You have to see these red resin patches. SOD told me it was the most difficult board he’s done all year. The hard work really shows. It’s beautiful.

PACO UPDATE

Connie left me a message. Paco has begun his bone marrow transplant. He’ll be home in a few days, then returns to Duke for a while. He most likely will not be able to be around crowds for a while. Send him messages on facebook. Send thoughts and prayers.

MIKE MALONE UPDATE

We haven’t heard anything from Jane, but thoughts and prayers are great for our buddy Mike.

ELECTIONS, NEW PRESIDENT:

I am stepping down as president as soon as we hold elections. I’ve be honored to be president for the past year and a half. I astarted a small business and things have gotten too nuts. Nominations will be in January and an election in February, with the new president taking over in March. I will remain as communications director if the executive board will have me. Annual Oyster Roast to help raise money for your community outreach program. Last year, we were able to raise money to help Paco Strickland, the Raynor Family, Surfers Healing and others. Come out and eat oysters, burgers and dogs. It’s potluck, so you can bring food. Live music by Paco Strickland and others. CDs and WBLA gear for sale. This is the best event of the year.
